Propane tanks come in different sizes based on the capacity of Propane the tank will hold per gallon. We can install propane tanks for you that are 120 gallon tanks, 250 gallon tanks, 500 gallon tanks, or 1000 gallon tanks. When filled each tank will be at 80% of the tanks capacity to allow for any expansion of gas vapor inside the tank.

Under The Tank Lid

Service Valve

Your tank’s service valve is the controlling mechanism allowing propane gas to flow into the house or building by way of the gas piping system. To cut off your system you turn the service valve wheel clockwise until it is closed.

Regulators

The purpose of the regulator is to control the flow of gas vapor from your tank to your propane appliances. As part of controlling the flow, the regulator also provides a level of safety by providing over pressure protection by preventing too much gas flow to an appliance.

Liquid Level Gauge

Liquid level gauge monitors the percentage level of propane in your tank. Most gauges will be located under the tanks lid next to the service and/or fill valve.

Pressure Relief Valve

A pressure or safety relief valve is a safety mechanism that every propane system needs. It allows excess pressure in the tank to be slowly and safely released. Without this valve, pressure can build up and cause the tank to crack or rupture.
